During and after a storm

These are some of the pics I took today during and after a storm. Managed to capture a lightning bolt and some rainbow pics with a yellow light from the setting sun. Hope you like it.

Sunset reflection over KL

The sun was setting and being a hot day, it created some beautiful light with some reflection from some buildings. Further away, I could see some rain with a rainbow so this prompted me to take some pics. Hope you like it.

A Gift ............ A Nikon D40x with a Sigma 18-200 Lens

I am a novice in photography. I have a Sony Cyber-shot 7.2 megapixels and taking pictures was easy where I just had to point and shoot. I always carry it around with me wherever I go as it is very convenient to take pictures on the spot.

Recently on Father's Day, my son bought me a Nikon D40x with a Sigma 18-200mm Lens as he wanted me to expand my hobby in photography to something more challenging. I love beautiful pictures expecially nature and scenery and I believe that with this new camera, I will be able to do it. However, this needs a lot of learning and trying to take pictures with different settings. My son coaches me on the technique and I'm slowly picking up the finer points in photography.

From time to time, I will be uploading pictures of things, places and scenery and I hope you will enjoy looking at them. If you do have any comments on the pics, I will appreciate it so that I can improve on it.
